My Friend

Poems
Why do these people have to be
Symbols of cruelty
Once I gave them love and affection
Now they pay back with pain equal to crucifixion

What have I done for the pain I bare?
I thought them friends
But alas
They changed their friends with changing trends

From that time on, like the tree of life
Alone in a desert was I
Lost in the labyrinth of my life
My heart and soul were dry

Then as if from heaven, sent by God
Came a pure white soul
As though the angel of the lord
Had come to guard my soul

Wherever I went my mind remained
On the angel sent my God
But one question deep down remained
Was this love in its truest form, or just another fraud?

As the days went by, my heart felt light
Like the deepest, darkest night
Now, sleep did come during the nights
And made the days more bright

It was like the silver of the monsoon cloud
The amber that turned gold
But yet my head and heart were bowed
With fear that the past may unfold

The closer we got, the more I fought
The urge to stay away
But the distance cowered and we were showered
With so much love, how much I could never say.

At the end of a year so full of colour
Came the time for “good bye”
And I was left a wilting flower
With no one nearby

Deep Shit!!!

JokesA little bird was flying during winter. The bird froze and fell to the ground. A cow came by and droped some dung on it.

Bird began to realize how warm it was and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing, dug it out and ate it.

Lessons...

1. Not everyone who drops shit on you is your enemy.
2. Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
3. When you are in deep shit, keep your mouth shut...

collection of poems

PoemsGuilt of Nature-

God once called the elements of nature
To discuss the wrath they had caused.
As of course, God with his pity on all asked,
“Why do you, who enkindle life,
Not show thy mercy on humankind?
Why not burst out in desolate tears
In places where sun doesn’t shine?”
And so fumed they, one by one,
Their tales of horror and moments of fun.
Water, her blueness, came forward,
“I am, as considered, precious than all gold,
Greater than all beverages,
A quencher of thirst, a thing so old,
And am drunk by lives of all ages.
But in my anger, water boils of blood,
And I attack and invade the earth,
And deluge thy men, thy creatures, thy plants,
I drown cities and towns whole.”
Air and Wind rushed to take her place,
“We blew on earth since its genesis,
We flanked its places, its cities, its houses,
We gave them voice, we gave them breath,
Why, we even grew their plants.
But, of late we may be its cessation,
For we blew our anger into the lives of creation.
We snuffed out their life from them,
We intoxicate their produce, they and their clan.”
Fire flushed his way to God,
“For millennia now, I bolstered their lives,
I cooked their food, I scared their assailant,
I illumined their path, I warmed their hearts,
Why I even boiled their water.
But, I incinerate they along their food,
And consume whatever on my path,
I burnt more than just their wood,
And behind me was none but otiose.”
God analyzed they, and gave the verdict,
“I pardon thee from all thy sins,
For all wasn’t in thy hands.
Those humans left the earth lopsided,
They spoilt the land, they spoilt the air.
It is they, who ought to be guilty here,
Not you, of all benevolence.”
